Built The Way It Should Have Always Been.
We founded Echelon Built on Principled Prosperity — 君子愛財,取之有道 (jūnzǐ ài cái, qǔ zhī yǒu dào) — a principle from Confucian wisdom that aligns with our Christian faith. It means we earn honestly — clear estimates, work that holds, and the courage to tell you when something doesn't need doing.
We started this business from a genuine concern — too many homeowners let down by trades that didn't deliver on their promises.
Nick grew up on a farm where nothing stayed broken for long — you figured it out or you went without. That upbringing built a rare diagnostic depth across bricklaying, carpentry, water leakage, retaining walls, and much more. He never says "no" — only "how."
Winnie comes from healthcare, where keeping people informed and nothing falling through the cracks — that's just the job. When you work with us, you know what's happening, why it's happening, and what it costs — at every step.
Meet Nick
Trade Specialist
Nick started on a farm where fixing things wasn't a skill — it was a survival requirement. As a kid he was always pulling things apart to understand how they worked — that engineering curiosity never left him. The decades that followed built a rare depth across bricklaying, carpentry, water leakage diagnostics, and much more — including the kind of practical builds most people don't know where to turn for: a door landing, a bench under the window, a fence section that needs repairing rather than replacing. He works in the space between a handyman and a specialist trade, and knows exactly when a job needs one or the other. He diagnoses the real cause, not just the visible symptom. He never says "no," only "how."
Meet Winnie
Client Care
Winnie is a pharmacist by training — a profession built on the principle that keeping people informed and nothing falling through the cracks isn't optional; it's essential. She's the kind of person who builds the system before the problem arises: organised, methodical, and meticulous about the details that others miss. That same standard shapes every client interaction at Echelon Built. When you work with us, you know what's happening, why it's happening, and what it costs, at every stage. No surprises, no runaround.
Our Furry Team
While they don't handle drills, nails, or invoicing, our three companions give us the full welcome home feeling after a hard day's work — and they remind us daily why creating comfortable, functional homes for families (including the four-legged members) matters so much. They're why we understand that homes aren't just for humans — they're for the whole family.
Pear
Chief Wellbeing Officer
Our Bichon Frise girl flew all the way from Hong Kong to enjoy the kind of spacious home and garden that simply don't exist there. Unhurried, undemanding, and always ready with a cuddle — Pear has a quiet gift for making everyone feel at ease. Which, when you think about it, is exactly what we're here to do.
Yoshi
Head of Garden Operations
Yoshi — Our domestic shorthair boy enjoys roaming and chilling in the garden in all weather. Calm and measured, with strong instincts and a talent for finding the perfect sunny spot — his motto is "run from danger, rest in comfort."
Zachy
Lead Creative Strategist
Our British Shorthair boy is the cheeky one — full of playful energy and always finding ways to get everyone's attention. He regularly leads Pear and Yoshi in garden games of hide-and-seek, and occasionally contributes unexpected creative input during our planning sessions.
